Looking for something a little less intense, where you can get a good meal and still party? Cancun provides a lot of fun-loving establishments like Carlos ‘n Charlie’s, Senor Frog’s and Hard Rock Cafe. The mood here is casual, celebratory and fun; with regular live-music performances as well.
Various other sports bars, pubs and local cafes offer food, drink and entertainment late into the night. Most of these are located in the central part of the hotel zone (kms 7-10 on the strip).
GETTING TO THE CLUBS
Transportation is fairly easy along the Cancun hotel strip, with options for every budget. Ask your hotel concierge for current bus and shuttle schedules, or to hail you a cab. There are plenty of taxis available to take you wherever you need. It’s a good idea to decide on a price before you get inside for the ride. (Just a note: If you’re staying at the north end of the hotel zone, you’re within walking distance of the party scene!)

A WORD OF CAUTION
The local government recognizes that tourism is the financial mainstay. They put forth a lot of effort to make sure tourists are safe and any trouble is minimized. A regular police presence exists throughout the hotel zone and especially in the club district. In addition to that, the clubs have their own security.
However, because it’s such a huge party scene, by the end of the night there tend to be people who aren’t thinking clearly. Caution is needed here just like in any big city! Keep a close eye on your personal belongings, since petty theft is probably the most frequent problem.
Ladies–be aware of your personal space! If you’re a clubber, you already know the way alcohol affects inhibitions…and the ability to take No for an answer! As is the case anywhere, it’s smart to keep your drink with you and exercise caution when mingling with people you don’t know.
