Tax Recovery Charge
The tax charge on TravelYucatan.com Special Rate hotel transactions is a recovery of all applicable transaction taxes (e.g. sales and use, occupancy, room tax, excise tax, value added tax, etc) that TravelYucatan.com pays to the vendors (e.g. hotels, etc.) in connection with your travel arrangements.
TravelYucatan.com is not the vendor collecting and remitting said tax to the applicable tax authorities. The vendors bill all applicable taxes to TravelYucatan.com remits such tax directly to the vendor. TravelYucatan.com is not a co-vendor associated with the vendor with whom we book or reserve our customer’s travel arrangements.
Taxability and the appropriate tax rate vary greatly by location. TravelYucatan.com Travel’s actual tax cost paid to the vendor may vary from the tax recovery charge, depending upon the rates, taxability, etc. in effect at the time of the actual use of the hotel, automobile, etc. by our customer.
Service Fee
These fees cover the costs incurred by TravelYucatan.com in servicing your travel reservation.

Although most travel, including travel to international destinations, is completed without incident, travel to certain destinations may involve greater risk than others. TravelYucatan.com, Inc. urges passengers to review any travel prohibitions, warnings, announcements and advisories issued by The Foreign and Commonwealth Office Travel Advice Unit prior to booking travel to international destinations. If an airline cancels or delays a flight, is unable to provide previously confirmed space, fails to stop at your stop-over or destination point, or causes you to miss a connecting flight on which you holds a reservation, you are entitled to certain remedies from the airline in accordance with EC Council Regulation 261/04 and you should raise this with the airline concerned.
