There is a kitchen, bathrooms, and even wifi and kayaks can be rented cheaply. For those who don’t want to cook their own food, breakfast can be bought at the onsite convenience store/café.

This simple and clean hotel is a great choice for those who prefer a private room to a dormitory. Located in the town by the main square, but just a few steps from the lake, it is a great location with a small price tag. The shared kitchen allows guests to cook their own meals and meet other guests and there is also a restaurant below the hotel for those who prefer not to cook. Hotel Boutique Toto Blue
A lovely option in the town, Toto Blue boasts beautiful design and attention to detail. The white and blue hotel has 10 rooms set around a courtyard full of lush tropical plants and there are plenty of tranquil and chic common areas to relax in. Rooms boast a mainly neutral palette with splashes of Mexican color in the accessories and the bathrooms are luxurious. It is a great choice for those seeking something classy but not too pricey.
Located right on the shore of the lagoon, Casita Carolina has a vast yard that all rooms share. There are hammocks and shaded palapas and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view. The whole place has a truly Caribbean feel to it. The rooms range in size and price but are all colorful and quaint with private bathrooms. Some rooms share a kitchen, which is a great touch.
