Just five minutes away from downtown Bacalar, EcoCamping Yaxche is a great option for those who want to camp on the edge of lake. There is a kitchen, bathrooms, and even wifi and kayaks can be rented cheaply. For those who don’t want to cook their own food, breakfast can be bought at the onsite convenience store/café.
Hostel and Suites Pata de Perro
This simple and clean hotel is a great choice for those who prefer a private room to a dormitory. Located in the town by the main square, but just a few steps from the lake, it is a great location with a small price tag. The shared kitchen allows guests to cook their own meals and meet other guests and there is also a restaurant below the hotel for those who prefer not to cook.
