Description:
Yaxuná is an old city, dating to the Middle Preclassic era. It contains many large monumental buildings and the longest known sacbe runs from Cobá and ends at the Yaxuná. It is over 100 kilometers long.
Xcan Ha which is located 2 kilometers north of the site center. It is in a direct line with Chichen Itza and could possibly have been a defensive early warning fort to warn the city of impending danger from Chichen Itza.
Of Interest:
Yaxuná contains an acropolis with a triad of pyramidal structures and a ballcourt.
