Taxi Rates In Town (Playa del Carmen)
*These are just a few sample rates and should only be used as a general reference. Taxi drivers may charge a different rate depending on many factors. The taxi rate schedules are extensive with 26 separate zones, all of which have specific fees.
$25 – $200 pesos is the typical range with most taxi fees between $50 – $100 pesos per ride.
If you are going to, or coming from, Playacar the rate will be a minimum of $90 pesos. For whatever reason they charge more for this area. The most popular areas are located in zones 1 & 2 which are on the beach traveling down 5th ave. Playacar is considered to be zone 5. It is best to ask the driver in advance the fees so you will have no surprises at your final destination.
